This page explains the cookies Leash & Lane uses. In short: one essential cookie, no tracking. We don’t use advertising, analytics or social media cookies, so there’s nothing to accept or reject.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages, such as what’s in your cart.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
store_sid | Keeps your cart and protects forms (checkout, contact) against misuse. | Strictly necessary, first party | 14 days |
This cookie is needed for the store to work, so it doesn’t require consent. It doesn’t identify you and isn’t shared with anyone.
Checkout on Stripe
When you click “Checkout” you move to Stripe’s secure payment page. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud. Those are covered by Stripe’s cookie policy.
Things we don’t use
- No Google Analytics or other analytics cookies.
- No advertising, retargeting or tracking pixels (Facebook, TikTok, Google Ads).
- No social media widgets that set cookies.
If this ever changes, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all have a “Privacy” or “Cookies” section). If you block the essential cookie, the cart and checkout won’t work.
